Beyond the Stars

Before Sonic's time there was a race that inhabited earth. This race were called Starveens. They date all the way back to ancient times, back before Tikal's time even. However, a war that they didn't prepare for broke out. More than half their race were wiped out. Having no choice but to retreat the Starveens used the power of the Wonder Stars to teleport the remaining of their race to a remote planet - Meteor Planet, in which they stayed since then, never stepping on earth again. Until now, that is.

Now it's present day, the Starveens are getting ready for their annual Bright Wonder Festival - a festival held once a year in honor of being given the Wonder Stars when the stars shined brightest. Since they arrived to Meteor Planet after the onslaught and almost extinction of their race, the Starveens have since then believed that they were the closest to the stars more than when they were on earth.

However things weren't all peachy keen when preparing for the festivities it would bring. Although there was no king nor queen in their race, the Starveens assembled a council of sorts. The oldest ten oldest Starveens would be part of the council, including the elder, who was the oldest of any of the race and also called them to the meeting.

Unease wavered between the nine members of the race, all except the elder, who seemed contempt on the situation at hand. The elder never called a meeting unless it was dire, they reflected. Once all ten members of the council had arrived and seated themselves the eldest Starveen gave a nod of approval. His voice was blunt and straightforward as he spoke, breaking the silence, "the Wonder Stars are gone." Then again, silence.
