Book two of "The Truth Always Comes Out. Please read "What's Your Deal" to understand what has transpired before this time.

After Jeff was unwillingly removed from their care, the Larson family was devastated. Brant gave up hope. He quit trying in school, barely graduated, and stayed at his mother's new home. A shell of his former self, all Brant can do is text Jeff's phone, hoping one day he can be with the one he loves.

Jeff however, has no knowledge of this tragedy. With his grandparents sequestering him from the outside world, he was exiled to a lonely, empty existence with no chance to reach out to anybody. The second he turned eighteen, he fled to his old home and love. Upon arrival however, Jeff was devastated to find out his true love no longer lived in the house he'd briefly called home and with no forwarding address to reach towards. Fearing the worst, he goes to Ashford Community College in hopes of finding somebody who knows the man he loves. In his rush to flee the place he'd been trapped, he had to leave everything behind, leaving him friendless once more.

Can these lost lovers finally reconnect after all this time, or has the time they've lost stolen their chances at true love...?

When a historian's obsession with a nineteenth century diary drives him to investigate the mysterious 'Fire King,' the truth turns his life upside down ... and leads him to fall for the one person he knows he can't have. ***** After Ryan McCoy's best friend shows him a two-hundred-year-old diary that was found in her house during a refurbishment, he becomes preoccupied with its contents. His love of history ignites his curiosity about a series of suspicious and implausible events described in the aged manuscript, including a possible homophobic arson attack on a local property. But how much is fact and how much is fiction? Can he unravel the secrets of the book and uncover the truth that has been locked between its pages for two hundred years? Author's Note: I am aware that the language spoken in Ireland two hundred years ago has variations to that spoken in modern times. However, I'm also aware that Wattpad is culturally diverse, and for many readers, English is not their first language. Many people may not be familiar with archaic Irish dialect, which may detract from the enjoyment of the story. Therefore, in an effort to make this story comprehensible to everyone, I have prioritised reader accessibility over historical accuracy with regard to any language that might otherwise be seen as dated. Trigger Warning: This book contains details of a homophobic arson attack. It also contains details of the aftermath of such an event, including the exploration of themes such as PTSD and trauma responses. Those who are sensitive to these topics may like to be aware of this content before reading.
