Le petite Prince (título original en francés) o El principito (en español): es la novela literaria más famosa escrita por el aviador y escritor francés Antoine de Saint Exupéry. Fue publicada por primera vez el 6 de abril de1943, cuando Exupéry vivía exiliado en Estados Unidos tras la caída de Francia durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. 

La trama del libro se basa en una narración en primera persona hecha por el aviador, un adulto mayor incomprendido por los demás. Durante uno de sus vuelos, su aeronave sufrió una falla técnica, lo que le obliga aterrizar inmediatamente en el desierto del Sahara.  Mientras  trata de reparar su avión y busca una opción para poder salir de la situación repentinamente se la aparece un niño rubio proveniente de otro planeta, tan diminuto que sólo cuenta con tres volcanes, arboles boababs y una flor a la que ama de una forma diferente.

Al día de ahora, "El Principito" se ha convertido en uno de los libros más vendidos en toda la historia de la humanidad y uno de los favoritos tanto para chicos como para grandes.
