Araani was the last of her kind, Psyrinx were the underlings of the high born Elves. They aged as a similar rate to elves making them the perfect servants, Elves found that other humans or similar creatures would die off too quickly and they only got around 50 years worth of work from them... a Psyrinx on the other hand could last them a lifetime....
