Barry Smith was never a normal man by any rights. He wasn't strong, he wasnt brave, he was just an uneventful man, he was average in each and everyway.
When he decided he was sick of this mundane life, he donned a lab coat and set his eyes on genetics. He worked hard, studied harder and eventually after he graduated. Barry was hired for one of the premier Genetics labs in the country. He scratched his way to the top, and looked out for no one but himself.
In the end it paid off. He and his team found a metoer containing an unknown extraterrestrial Bio-Chemical. A Mutagen.
With curing cancer on his brain, and his brother in his heart, Barry threw himself into the work. Slaving each day just so he could finally be recognized.
Yet it all changed the day of the bomb.

No Superheroes Allowed
Long ago a group of superheroes and villains worked together to prevent an invasion. But they managed to kill more people than they saved. Their destruction caused the perception of those with powers to dramatically shift; to the point of outcast. 50 years later crime has increased to the point where not even the police respond to calls. Few heroes went into hiding to 'play normal'; like my family and I. I live in New Haven City. I've been lucky enough that I don't have powers that attract too much attention --- Everything was going great. Everything was normal. Until Jamie was forced to confront the reality of her situation. The mayor who has been running the NSA was beginning to take drastic measures. Sending many supers off to another island. Stealing their powers. Forcing others to betray their own kind. The victims of these horrific acts are not taking that lightly. Why not make a team of heroes? A team that doesnt give a shit what the NSA or the Mayor has to say. A team of young teens who probably don't even listen to each other. That will save the world...Concluida

. Three years. It had been three years since he'd been taken, experimented on, had his DNA altered and became a freak of nature. He knew because he'd managed to peek at the computer when they dragged him into that dreaded room; the one they used to prod, poke and inject him with god-knows-what. He was considered their only success - meaning their illegal tests hadn't killed him or rendered him paralysed, or worse; brain dead. He was subject 254. And he was the only survivor. At least until she - subject 391 - moved into the cell next door. - - 18th June 2018 - Rank 1 #sciencefiction 17th May 2019 - Rank 4 #romance 22nd Feb 2019 - Rank 1 #superpowers -- ** NOW COMPLETED**Concluida

The Unknown Heroes(Manuscript)
Another ordinary day. That's what I thought. Boring and normal. Until everything was flipped upside down. Kidnapped, tested on, and then set into a new city I've never seen with no clue what was happening, or why. Then my supposed dream reached into the realms of possibility. I could be a hero. (This is just the manuscript. Nothing is complete. The plot is a mess. And theres lots of unnecessary things. The finished version will be much better)Concluida
The Untouchable
"Cold. Heat. Healing. Pain. The world is full of different things that humans interact with and live around. The human mind perceives all of these things differently, and each persons cognition differs through their experiences with them. The more you feel safe around something, feeling power over it, those thoughts lead you closer to being able to control the very thing that you direct those thoughts toward. The human mind has more than we understand. I'm sure this is all a lot to process, so come with me, I'll help you understand." Seven years after a suspicious accident, Pen Gwinn lives stranded in Antarctica with holes in his memory. Whatever building he wound up in wasn't any normal facility, and after being manipulated into a science experiment, he'd rather stay stranded until he runs out of food than expose his new powers to the world. He stuck with that for as long as he could, but after the evil that gave him his powers comes back for him, he has no choice but to take a leap of faith back into the modern world. Default Genetics
Six teenagers. Genetically engineered. Organically weaponized. Publicly declared heroes, and privately ticking time bombs. The walking-talking equivalent of a biohazard weapon. The kind that reeks of sweat and streetlights and the unindominatable human spirit. The kind they wished they knew how to break. You see, they weren't born. Because life isn't as easy as crawling out of a womb anymore, with blood and serum and the warm exhale of a mother's love. No, it was far 'easier' than that. They were built - piece by piece, chemical after chemical, atom to atom - where scientists preferred fighting on which new type of atomic ray to experiment with next rather than the freaking Geneva Convention. Because, inside Helix Labs, lay the wasteland of glass and live wires and the unmistakable smell of a brand new, bioweapon. Was that a newborn cursed with a modified brain, heart, or muscle? Or did they prefer kidney, lungs or bone? No. Why? Because they weren't born...they were crafted, congealed, and set on a path of righteous fury. They were never given a choice, only the cold looming shadow of a power far greater than them when they decided to condemn the evolutionary design and man handled into existence their own path of 'heroism'. Now, these walking anomalies patrol the glass and grime skyline of Haem city, a place where chrome and corruption reek havoc side by side. Where sin and silicon are separated by a gap of letters and not materialistic gain. The mutagens call themselves saviours, the Authority calls them property and the villains refer to them as misguided. They were made to serve humanity, when they were never humans themselves. Welcome to the future, it's much colder than you think.
