Leala Ariosto just finished her junior year in high school, and is about to start the final summer vacation of her childhood. She expects it to go by as quickly as the last, but that is proven false with an event that reconnects her with a friend she thought she'd never see again, and a car accident caused by a nightmarish beast that the rest of her family doesn't remember.

Daniel Marchand is about to come of age, and in order to prove his worth to his family inheritance he must undergo a series of trials. As the heir to a family of sorcerers, he must use his gifts and knowledge to succeed, but he is warned by many that the prize he seeks isn't all he makes it out to be.

Robin Barnett is still recovering from the disappearance of his father and the death of his mother and sister. Things are tense between him and his guardian, and he can't help but be convinced there is a ghost following him around, despite the fact no one seems to believe him. Well, almost no one.

Three seemingly unrelated people leading different lives, who will all be brought together by one unseen danger. A danger that will shed light on a side of the world most are never aware of.

Ghost aren't real. And chics this cute don't tell you they are. It's the reassurance I told myself, which mostly didn't work cause it was a straight up lie. This book doesn't have effervescent, long haired fairy's or stoic vampires that smolder and fight. More like a judgmental grumpy teen weed dealer named Zach, who shamefully talks about himself in third person like this. And you won't find some grand quest up a mountain or into an unknown land rich with magic because I have asthma and no time for that shit. And lastly, there will be absolutely no hideous romance where instantly the girl of my dreams sweeps me off my feet. I get on her nerves far to much for that. Finding out I'm part of ancient group of mediums tasked with cataloging, fighting and cleansing ghost you would think has some upsides. But so far all that comes with it is cold chilled air that gives me the sniffles when they're around. I'd like to say by the end of this book I'll have conquered the monster and won over the girl, but as you read you'll learn that's far to much faith in a screwup like me. This book won't be for everyone, hell people die in it. But the good news is that if I die at least I'll be around, floating off of the pages to haunt you in your home. Actually that sounds like bad news so perhaps try and finish so you know if you have a ghost . *This story contains themes of suicide, sexual content, drug use and mature language. 🎶Look up the Bury A Friend playlist on spotify to play the songs at every number.🎶

Faith, fear, and fury. The strongest, most inalienable things that make us human. While the people of the world learn and grow, they shed feeling and emotion as time passes. Much like how matter cannot truly be destroyed, the energies of these sentiments never dissipates. Instead, it feeds beings born of all types of things, from ancient cultural followings to widespread societal discourse. In turn, these beings give back to the world--for better or worse. After the traumatic incident of his father's death, young DeMain is thrust into a world of turmoil and a hidden people right under the world's nose. As he harnesses a rare and unique ability gifted to him in exchange for his suffering, his view of the world unravels as he converges with others given the gift of Witchblood, an ability to see and interact with spirits. This book will take on its narrative based on the first-person views of three separate protagonists. I will remind those reading that 'protagonist' does not equate to 'hero' in all cases. A forewarning: This story includes many heavy themes and I felt the need to write them with the reality of how they happen. As such, be cautious. This book contains mentions of sexual assault, murder, violence, substance abuse, and overall conflict. There are also quite a varied amount of scenes with some 'gross' aspects to them. Though I imagine this would only affect those with vivid imaginations, you deserve to be warned regardless. Updates will done be once weekly if not more.
