This is based off of thepastelpeach on YouTube who made an amazing Sanders Sides animatic of the song, Ready as I'll Ever Be. I kind of changed the story a little bit to fit my liking, but most of it will be pretty similar to what's in the description of the video. If you haven't already, you should check out that video.
Also credits to whoever drew this (yes, I stole this off the internet). I'm not sure who drew this but this sure as heck ain't mine.

Roman is a peasant who lives a very poor, yet happy life. Everything changes when he meets Patton, Virgil, and Logan, who all work for the prince of the kingdom. Roman wants to join them, but can't. He is then presented with an option to be the ruler of his own kingdom. Will he accept?All Rights Reserved

Reptile - Janus Angst by Valice_Star

This is based on a role play I did in a Sanders Sides fan group. It is also inspired by the show Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts and a podfic called The Selfish Protector by DragonSaphira Reads. Anyway synopsis: Janus wasn't sure where it had all gone wrong. Everything had been going so well. He'd been getting along better with the ligh- 'other' sides, Roman and Virgil had definitely seemed to be getting used to his presence in videos, and they'd even been inviting him to join in on their famILY traditions. Where had it gone wrong? His snake half. Janus had noticed that he'd been adopting more reptilian traits. Shedding? Fine. A few extra scales? Easy to hide... mostly. But it's become more and more prominent and more and more painful and frustrating to deal with. Janus won't ask for help, fearing the others might start to not trust him again and undo everything he'd worked for. How will this go? Logan, Roman, Patton, Virgil, Remus, and Janus belong to Thomas Sanders. I don't know what ships will be in this or if there even will be any, but I'm assuming I'll end up adding either Moceit, Loceit, or Roceit. Deceit is unpopular in highschool, as others find him ugly with his snake-like burn, he is depressed and self harms, he has a crush on one of the most popular kids, Logan, they meet in a class and try to become friends, but Logan's friends, Patton, Roman, Virgil, try to push them further apart. Edit- 06/02/21 this was one of the first things I tried to properly write, it isn't that great but it does show how much I've improved and I find that cool now that I've gotten over most of my embarrassment about it. (Also I'm not editing anything this thing is beyond saving anyway-)

The permentant presence of the words 'You're in my seat' on his thigh had yet to disappear until his soulmate utters them one day. Deep down he dreaded that day. You see, Patton had no interest in a romantic relationship which was abnormal in a world ruled by the soulmate system. Virgil hated the soulmate system. He hated it because it gave him the words 'well aren't you a ray of sunshine' printed boldly on his forehead. Luckily for him, foundation was his best friend (and his only friend, for that matter). He never showed it, but he longed for the day his soulmate would sweep the aggravating statement off his forehead and him off his feet. Logan, to put it simply, was married to his work. A love interest didn't interest him in the slightest. The only heed he took that the soulmate system existed was the thinly printed 'what did you say?' on his left palm. He heard that statement a lot but the mild annoyance on his hand was yet to disappear. Roman lived up to his name as a big romantic. In his eyes, the soulmate system was the best thing to happen to him, so the fact that the words written on his collarbone were 'go away' really burst his bubble. The thought of spending his life with his 'other half' was enthralling to him, but the fact his dad expected him to settle down with a nice girl was terrifying. One day these two groups of boys meet and find maybe they might have a future after all. Virgil, the love of Prince Roman's life got banished. Three years later the Light Sides and The Dark Sides go into war. Longer blurb- Prince Roman fell in love with a commoner, Virgil Sanders. He knew it was a bad idea but he couldn't help it. When his parents, the King and Queen of the Light Kingdom, found out they banished Virgil, sending him to the Dark Kingdom. When the Lightsides and the Darksides go back into war, Roman and Virgil see each other again after two years. Neither had forgotten and they only want each other back, how can they save both kingdoms and get each other? Patton, Roman's younger brother gets pulled into a plan. One Virgil made up with the help of Janus and Remus, friends he's made on the darkside. Logan being Virgil's cousin is also included in this plan, one Roman has no idea about. One that could end up with all of them dead. How is this going to work and can they all live happily ever after?

*Completed* Virgil doesn't know it, but he's the son of Lucifer. After his caring mother is killed in a horrible car crash that should have killed Virgil as well, his father realizes that Heavens angels are trying to send Virgil back to Hell despite him not doing anything bad. Virgil is sent to his Uncle Patton's place to live and goes to a new school. There he meets an annoying kid who somehow befriends him, but little does he know the kid was sent by his father to protect him. The religious parts of this story is based loosely (very loosely) around christianity. Pairings will be prinxiety, logicality, and demus, if it's not your jam that's fine you don't need to read. There will be trigger warnings at the beginning of every chapter that will include cursing, death and blood. The main characters belong to Thomas Sanders on YouTube, only the side characters are mine.
