The 16 year old Ashley is very conscious about her sexuality. Still, she's in the closet. This is because her enormous crush on her classmate is unanswered and she lost all her confidence and bravery because of this. When she gets new neighbours, who become her new best friends, she takes her first steps in the love.

The 15 year old Jade isn't sure about her sexuality yet. The one moment she thinks she's a lesbian, the other she thinks she's straight. After the divorce of her parent did Jade and her brother Ashton move with their father. In the new village, they both become friends with their new girl next door, who they both develop feelings for.

In this story are sexual preferences discussed, mostly from the women/girls perspective. Later also from boys, but girls will always have the lead role in this story. This because I think that there are not enough books about this subject, especially from girls perspective. Oh and also because I like girls myself.
