"What are you doing?! Stop! Stop it!" I cried as he walked towards one of the sleeping bodies.

"Shhhh... Angel, please don't wake them up... and... you do realize that this is just the way I am... right?" He said, calmly, as if he were talking to a child.

"How can you be like this?! How can you kill so many innocent people? Wreck so many innocent lives, killing people who never deserved to die in the first place?" I growled, my eyesight blurring and tears beginning to flow down my face. His facial expression remained unfazed by my words, but his eyes shone deeply with regret, guilt, and sadness.

"Because, darling, I'm a monster. But.... you saved me from hell, the hell that I had been fighting my way out of ever since I was a kid, an emotionless pit of pain and suffering, and you were like an angel. The angel that saved me from hell..." He said, walking over to me and forcing my chin up, making me look into his eyes. The eyes that I once trusted, the eyes that had been full of kindness were gone. They had been replaced with the crazed, hunger-filled eyes of a monster.
