Percy Jackson had almost always been deaf. The reason he was deaf was because one day as Gabe was driving the car they crashed and the glass cut his ear so badly that he couldn't hear. Fast forward a few more years she had joined the avengers because her old friend Natasha wanted her there, so she grabbed her mates dog tags she got from him and agreed. Another 4 years have passed and Aqua found out her mother is still alive but doesn't care.
