After losing complete faith in humanity after his mom's death and his father's attempts to kill him, Yuuchiro finally finds someone he can call Family. Mikaela Hyakuya.

After Mikaela and Yuuchiro had become great friends and considered each other as brothers, they get kidnapped by Vampires and taken to the Vampires hideout where they are later informed that they will be their 'Life Stock' and that anyone who left the hideout if they were over 13, they'd die.

Later on, when Mikaela was attacked by Lord Ferid and lay down on the ground, the Queen, Krul Tepish, gave him her blood to turn him Vampire. However, Mikaela had a severe arm injury. The only way to save him, was to get rid of his eye sight. Why? Because
was something inside his eyes that could heal anything they touched, of course, his eyes sight disappear because they were what kept his eyes functioning properly.

Yuuchiro later found Mikaela again and he was so glad to see him but shocked to find out that his best friend was a Vampire and had lost his eye sight...
