She was abandoned on the dark streets of NYC, young and defenseless, left to die in the frigid, damp place of an alley. Years passed with her savior gone and Catherine grew up alone and with learning of his existence and what made him what he is. No matter how hard she tried to hold onto the hate that wanted to consume her heart, she couldn't. Her being simply wouldn't allow it. Now that he's back, she can't explain why she feels this burning desire despite all these years apart.
Everything turns out to be much deeper than she thought, deeper than the blood that courses through her veins and makes her exactly what she is.
