As a young girl, Josephine lost everything she ever cared about on one fatal night due to a drunk driver. That was the night of her 5th birthday. 12 years later, she is a beautiful seventeen year old woman. Joey is at her 5th foster home in the past 3 years and it is no better than the last few. An abusive foster mother who makes her feel no better than the dirt beneath her feet. She quickly befriends her foster parents' daughter Bridget, and her next door neighbor's eighteen year old son, Zechariah.
