Two years ago Margo Bennett thought her dreams were coming true when her Aunt and Uncle had agreed to her ambitious plan to open a horse rescue program.

Red River Ranch was set to open it's 500 acres to horses of all shapes and sizes and Margo was set to run it all with the help of her four friends, however, their plans were thrown into chaos when the first arrivals bring more trouble than expected. A freak accident unloading one of the rescues maims Margo, leaving her body broken, her dreams crushed, and sends her whole plan crashing to the ground.

It's been two years since that day. Margo is returning to Red River Ranch but she's worried. What if she never truly recovers from that day? What if her friends have changed in the time she's been away? What if the mare who'd hurt her really was unmanageable and dangerous? What if everything she had begged, pleaded and worked hard for was destined to fail?
