He was a pride filled playboy who didn't care about anything but the looks of those around him. Marinette was the daughter of two bakers who dreamed of being the best tailor in the kingdom. She is a kind, beautiful, determined young girl but she is extraordinarily clumsy. The townspeople can hardly stand being in a room with the poor girl. Many believed she was cursed with bad luck at birth. Their paths cross when a certain enchanter asked for a viewing with the prince and was rejected, a curse was placed on the heartless boy and he was transformed into a beast! Unable to show his face to anyone, he closes himself inside and will not allow those who have seen him to leave.
