Well, That Was Unexpected: A (Mostly) True Short Story
Life is full of surprises! Especially in high school, where love can come from unexpected places... This is my story (well, part of it, anyway). It's a story about growing up in a small town, about the friends I made and the friends I lost, and the events (both legal and illegal) that shaped me into the person I am today. This is a true story; naturally, some parts have been embellished, had names altered to protect the "innocent," and some incidents have otherwise been fabricated entirely. Also, I confess that I may have misremembered some of it.Complete
The Boyfriend Games {Complete | Book One}
"You signed me up for what?" I shrieked at her. My best friend, who had volunteered me to test a new game that she wanted to make videos out of. A game that took ten girls and ten guys and forced them to become a couple. But the guys had to go around and choose who they wanted to try and date, to court and try to swoon. A twisted form of the bachelor or the bachelorette. A way of trying to force love. And she had written my name down without my permission. "It's called The Boyfriend Games," she giggled. "We're gonna find you some love." •~• I gasped looking up at the sincerity in his eyes. "I mean it. The other girls not only dolled their looks up, but they all put on a phony façade. The personality and laughter I see from them is all fake. But you... you only show what's real, no matter how different your appearance is. You're still the same Thera that you were before this started." Chewing on my lip I looked up at him and took a deep breath before my reply. "I really have to pee." •~• Started: Jan. 2015 Finished: July 2015Complete

||We are like boomerangs. No matter what happens, We always come back, Because that's us|| •••••••••••••••••• Jessica Grey, the long haired brunette who loves too much and can't control it. Even for the wrong people, she'd go to hell and back to make them happy. That was a weakness of hers. And after a year of the worst, coming back to school felt like the worst idea possible. She knew that with her ex around, she couldn't be happy. That was until she met Ben Smith. The New boy. You'd notice his green eyes from miles away, his brunette curtained hair hovering just above his eyebrows, the way he smiles is just so contagious. As soon as you see him, you'll think that he's the twin of Louis Partridge but unfortunately he's not. The both of them together is 'goals' as most would say. They're weird, hilarious, childish and much more when around each other. But most of their time is spent arguing over the most stupidest things. Give them a carrot and they'd argue about that. It was the worst part of it all. Jessica having trust and commitment issues whilst Ben was trying so hard to help her through it. It's all just shambles. But still, no matter what, they come back for more.. •••••••••••••••••••••••

We've always been told to think before we speak, so as not to offend anyone. Maddie Hayes is over it. No matter what is said, someone is going to get offended. She just doesn't care anymore. For someone who grew up with five older siblings, Maddie has never felt more alone. Now that they're all out of the house and starting their own families, that loneliness has manifested into anger at the feeling of being abandoned. Madeline was never supposed to be the 'good girl'. From the years of sarcasm, she's learned from watching her older siblings, Maddie is 'that girl,' the girl that everyone envies, who can make you cry with just a look. But maybe her life isn't so great as she wants everyone to believe. Maybe she's tired of being forgotten by her older siblings; maybe she's angry because her parents work too much or that her friends would never actually be there for her if things got tough. Maybe she's just sick of all the bullshit.Complete
