We sat quietly, relishing the beautiful sun drooping down the waves. The waves crashed beneath our feet and salty water sprayed on our face.
But my beauty was somewhere else, humming a beautiful tune to the crashing waves.
I was complete today, with her, till death do us part.

I could feel her arms around me as the breeze swept over us leaving goosebumps in their wake. I could again smell the lakes water as it's soft smell envelopped us, overpowering her perfume only slightly. Through all of those wonderous senses only one stood out above all; the touch of her lips on mine. It was as if I was reliving all of it again. As if I could change how things had happened.. if we had stayed on the dock longer maybe.... if the photographer had asked to take more pictures then.... but it was no use. Thinking through every possible change I could have made wasn't going to bring her back. -------Complete

Screw it. I picked up the bottle of whiskey and cashed it. I got into my car and drove until I saw a bridge. I look down at the ocean crashing below. My heart started racing, so I took a deep breath and I sat on the railing. I began to gaze at the full moon. A cold gust of wind blew across my face and made goosebumps form on my forearms. I finally felt at peace, calm and free but the sound of a speeding car behind me jolted me back to reality. Then the events of my stressfuful day rushed on me like a whirl wind and I wanted it all to be over...Complete
