Painting Flowers {Marianas Trench}

Valentina Patel has always wanted what was best for her son, JJ. After terrible, yet amazing, experiences in Vancouver, BC, she is ready to move back from Calgary, Alberta. Desperate to put everything behind her. As her and JJ drive down the highway, she tells the story about how she met JJ's father, the famous Josh Ramsay, ten years ago. When she comes back to Vancouver, hoping all of her demons have disappeared, she is revisited by two demons. Matt Webb and the father of her child, Josh Ramsay.

Even after nine years, Josh is still attracted to his old high school girlfriend. But he doesn't see that she's changed. Completely. Valentina doesn't understand why he still loves her and wants none of his affection or physical contact. But no matter what she says, Josh keeps giving her the same repsonse: "I am still painting flowers for you." In translation: "No matter what you do, no matter what you say, no matter what you throw at me, I will still be here for you and JJ. I'll still love you. I will paint every flower on the Earth to prove that to you."
