A life changing event brings two old friends together again. Reagan Amethyst Hartford, a self made child advocate, find herself adopting a new born baby, after a fatal accident leaves the child alone with no way of finding any relatives. On the other hand, Liam Carrenington Carmichael is a womanizer in ever way, but has a soft spot for a woman who turned her back on him after their high school graduation. Liam womanizing ways finally catches up with him when he father's a new born baby girl unexpectedly that is left in the care of his archemisist Reagan Amethyst Hartford.
While fighting a horrific fire in the North Memphis area at an abandon warehouse on Chelsea Street, Adam gets shot during a cover up between crooked cops and fire department director that leaves Adam figthing for his life in a burning building. After being saved by the new woman firefighter, who hates him with a passion because of his anti - feminist views, Liam awakes in The Regional Medical Center, better known as the MED to Memphians, to a familiar face holding his hand praying and crying for him to pull through.
