The town Dreaming is located in the middle of nothing. It was created by the Almighty God to be the only safe haven in a dangerous, ravaged world...or so the story is told. And the theocratic government of Dreaming makes sure that everyone knows that story as truth. Within the borders of the town, people are safe from the enemies on the outside: criminals, heathens, and the greatest threat of all -- unholy wielders of magic known as Manifests. 

Like everyone she's ever met, Portia Carew has lived in the town Dreaming for her entire life. But as a Manifest herself, she alone understands that the myths surrounding her kind are slanderous lies, and she's begun to doubt everything else that her fellow citizens accept as absolute fact -- even as she conceals her abilities from them day after day. As she searches for the truth, she comes to discover that the answers to all of her questions may be contained within a legendary, unabridged history book known simply as the Dreaming Manifesto...if it even exists, that is.

Portia is certain that it's real, but the trouble is, getting to it would require a miracle. It's a shame that she doesn't believe in miracles anymore...All Rights Reserved

After that, they just have to escape the clutches of those who hunt them, find the Isle of Song, and free the creator from her prison. Or maybe this time, in this life, Jack will figure out what true freedom is. The First Dawn has concluded; Children of Blight are running rampant, and the last remaining Bastions of humanity are searching and killing for them for their last chance to find one to restore the earth. The World Capital stands above everyone, with a shadow government smothering the people. The power balance has been tipped for a century now- then came a girl named Armageddon, changing the world forever. Lydia Armageddon, born on the nuclear fronts of the decimated America, was sold to be a child soldier of The World Capital and is found out as a Child of Blight, her trait being named 'Convergence.' The world is at risk of war once more, with the starting gun being fired for the race to control her. Subject to all matters of mutilation, violation, and experimentation, she escapes Blight Laboratories and finds that the world outside is no better than the months she spent in captivity. Hatred for humanity forms, and a monster is coming to be, slowly, just as a fanatical religion predicted all those years ago. Father like daughter. Until she decides to rob an old man sleeping by a fire with an empty gun, not knowing her life was about to be changed forever. The world prepares for the second dawn as Armageddon's child is born-their saviour. A land called Sataria is no place for freedom or peace, but a split land filled with dishonesty. Refusing unity by the misleading king the people have drifted a rift between them 'the norms' and 'the marks'. The Marks are misjudged people who were born with a supernatural ability. They try living in the dark shadows hiding there marks and themselves , but to be shun by a mistrustful concocted lie. By the kings hatred toward them they are abused and used by the king himself and his people 'the norms'. Rose has lost both her parents, and found out she was a mark all by the age of 13. Her aunt and uncle take her in just to find out she has a rare marking no like any other with more than one ability. With time of training and hiding she was happy by the love of her family until it all goes downhill. She experiences lost, friendship, love, betrayal and realization all to end up losing or finding herself and killing or saving the people she loves. 'The Clarity' is a group of marks who want to change the world. They are willing to do anything possible to save there kind and stop the king and the mistreatment by 'the norms'. They are fighting in the shadows waiting for there missing piece of the puzzle, so they can complete there destiny.
