Wes Fallon, notorious bad-boy has landed himself in the slammer again. Yet, this time, it's not the jail cell for which he's been in due to his cockiness and bad driving skills. It's the bakery slammer. When Dan Martin walks out of his kitchen to find Wes sneaking around and stuffing some blueberry muffins into his grab-bag, the man immediately takes action by threatening to call the cops unless Wes agreed to working around the shop for a while. To which Wes ever so rudely replied with a snarky remark about the quality of the muffin and what it was worth, which landed him the job as assistant manager, alongside the owner's daughter, Lydia. Both of them absolutely despise this place, and neither of them can say anything about it. And the downside is that they go to the same high school, coincidentally wind up in all of the same classes, and their 'summer secret' is gong to officially be history if they decide to rekindle their burning interest for one another. But for now, they're just going to stick to baking cakes.

Kyle Richards has been running his bakery for over a decade, and it has been doing well. So well in fact he needs to hire a new pastry chef. Without even meeting him, he hires culinary school graduate Rey Truman from an old professor's recommendation. Rey turns out to be a local. Having graduated over the summer, he returns home and applies to Kyle's bakery on a whim. On his first day, he impresses Kyle so much that he is given more to do. However, Kyle's past comes back like a hurricane at the same time he is confronting the new knowledge of about Rey. One night he makes a drunken decision that changes the course of their working relationship. It's a decision Kyle doesn't remember but Rey can't forget. As the past merges with the present, can these two figure out which way they're going? Are they going towards one goal? Or will one continue on while the other looks back?
