The almost inaudible rustling of fabric made me stop still. I stared at the little patch of light for a moment, almost shaking my head at his amateur mistake. Turning carefully, I looked back down the passageway.
He was looking at the letter in shock, and when his glowing eyes wandered up to find me watching him two hundred yards ahead, he caught his cloak and, flicking it in a wide arc, disappeared into the darkness behind him.
"Au revoir, mon Ange," I whispered, turning away again and suppressing a smile. "Or should I say, salut?"

Book Two - 'In the centre of the city, the depths call forth The blessed princess must heed its call to uncover the truth of the bargain made Or with the thief she shall stay to the end of days' - "Nothing will go wrong, we'll just sail into the Roman Camp, tell them what's up and begin the quest. Simple." "Being a demigod is never that simple, Valdez." "When you're with me, everything is simple." - "Everything okay, Princesa?" Leo whispered. She shook her head to clear the fog that had settled and turned to him. Leo saw pure panic in her eyes, and his brows furrowed in concern. "Everything's fine." She convinced. Leo didn't buy it. Nor did she. - "You said whenever I need you." "Whenever you need me, Amor." - "Everything is how it should be. She told me, she told me everything. This is what must happen. And you're going to be hers. You are the downfall of the world. You need to be the downfall she wants. You will be the extra." - "So, you found out your truth." The voice spoke "For years you wondered why. Why your supposed loving mother did this to you. To your little family." the voice continued. It seemed to echo all around her. "And now you know." - "Her ring, there's a button, it'll tell Leo she needs help-" A sharp wail echoed around the small stone room around them. "No, he's gone!" She sobbed. "He- he won't answer. I tried, I tried everything. I can't-" - "Persephone it's hurting you, stop using them." "No, they make me stronger." She turned her back to him, the burn in her eyes intensifying as she clawed more of that new feeling, the new power, into her. It seemed to run like lightning through her veins, and Percy watched as the scratches deepened. Her eyes were dark and empty, and Percy felt nothing but fear. - (Takes place during The Mark of Athena, book three of the Heroes of Olympus series) (As always, all characters belong to Rick Riordan, Persephone and her own plotline are purely my creation)

She was a girl from inside the wardrobe. He was a boy from outside the wardrobe. ~~~~ "You're joking?" I scoff. "These are the Prophecy?" I pointed at the three children standing beside them. It was like an inside joke that wasn't even laughable. "Yes, sweetheart! You cannot deny the coincidence that is happening all around us." Mrs. Beaver explained. Her motherly tone brought me some reassurance. I nodded reluctantly, glancing at the three children standing awkwardly. "So much for a Prophecy." ~~~~ "Is Aslan really your father?" Lucy asked me. I smirked in amusement as she sat down beside me at the river. "Is that what everyone keeps telling you?" Lucy nodded innocently. It was adorable how her cheeks redden in embarrassment. "No," I answered, "he isn't my father by blood but I like to think of him as one." I turn to the flowing river, watching as the tiny fishes jump every now and then out of the water. "He raised me, saved me from dying. I never knew my parents. Don't know if they're looking for me or continuing on with their lives like nothing is missing." I shrugged hoping to fool anyone who thought otherwise. If I put my guard up maybe no one will notice. ~~~~ "A King is never a King without his Queen by his side." A voice said from behind me. I smiled at his attempt of trying to woe me. "Oh?" I didn't need to take a look to know that he was already next to me. His warmth radiated to me like a magnet. "So, why is everyone calling me 'King' when my Queen is out here?" Peter said. I whipped my head over at him, baffled at his confidence. He smirked making me swoon for him even more. Especially, the way the setting sun shinned against his dirty blande hair and his blue eyes glowed even brighter. ~~~~ The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe {P. Pevensie} {The Shadow Series} {Part of Across The Multiverse Series} {Book 1} All of the credit of the books belongs to C.W. Lewis and the movies belong to Disney. I only own Natasha Rebecca Barnes and her plot.

I owed her a proper letter, I didn't write enough, but what could I say. It seemed like everyone else wrote so much more than me, but they probably had more people to write to than just their mom. Every time I tried to tell her what happened with Anne, what the trenches were like, how desperately I had to hold myself together, the agony I was always in, why should she know, what was the point. I never could figure out if it was kind or cruel that demons could never have demonic parents, my mom's humanity meaning she would never know how it was, and sometimes, like now, I wouldn't tell her if I could. I like being her invincible daughter, like no other succubus, how happy she was when I convinced her I would survive this, and I would, but she didn't need to know how, but I couldn't lie. My letter told her I was alive, not sick or injured, that I miss my home, I miss her, that I love her. It was what I could manage, so it had to be enough, she would understand.
