Heath disappeared on the night of junior prom.
Then the inexplicable notes started appearing after a few months and Skye found herself overwhelmed with his threats. Desperate to find answers and an ex-boyfriend who she may have unknowingly wronged, she grasped on to the smallest of the clues he threw her way.
Until a day came when Skye went missing and a burnt corpse turned up in the morgue. Now, her friends cannot leave her death unavenged. They have resolved to expose her killer but they will risk becoming a part of his scheme and can end up dead just like her.

"He seemed like a puzzle to me, and I really liked solving puzzles. But somehow, I don't think that I would ever be able to solve this one." She was everything you wanted to be, and yet nobody had gotten close enough to her to understand her life in this small town at all. When her plans of leaving suddenly change, and she is forced to start attending the local school, her life takes a route that she hadn't accounted for. A new group of friends, a chance at a normal teenage life, even a potential love interest - things that Amelia had never even thought about happening after everything she'd been through. But happiness is only temporary in her life, and she knew that. It wasn't surprising to her when her past began to catch up with her present, it was simply a good thing that it had taken as long as it had. Things start happening in Amelia's life that simply don't make sense, even to her. They do say you should always keep an eye over your shoulder, especially when you know you're being hunted, but for Amelia, even an eye in every direction wouldn't be enough.
