When I woke up, I had no sense of who or where I was, but, even though I would never admit it, I knew my purpose. I had a sinking feeling in my chest that I was here for one reason alone: to save my family.

When 16-year-old Harmony wakes up with absolutely no memory of who or what she is, and a mysterious figure says that she has to go to a place called Camp Stardust, her world is turned completely upside down as lost friends remind her of who she is. But Harmony doesn't know what kind of horrors lurk outside the gates. She doesn't know what horrors lurk in herself. When a shadow falls over the camp, only Harmony knows what to do and how to save the people she loves, but can she do it alone?

Start Date: September 16, 2017 End Date: August 1st, 2018 Shapeshifting has always been around us but we've chosen to remain ignorant to the signs we've been left with. But in reality, it has thrived not below us but within us and around us. We continually turn a blind eye to the treasures hiding in plain sight. At the age of fourteen, if you are suspected to be a shapeshifter, you are required to go to Vale, a school. A school like this was hidden from the world under ground. Once at the school, you are sorted into to teams of eight to fifteen students. Each team is given a quest to complete instead of completing an exam. If the quest is not completed, you do not advance to the next year. With tensions running high between the Shapeshifting Clans, this is not easy. At the last minute, a group of nine students is thrown together to form a team. And they don't exactly get along. Lark Tanning has just discovered her powers and is still exploring the peculiar aspects of her predicament. She struggles to understand why she of all people is put to lead the team's quest... and so do the others. Harper Magdalena has known she could shift into a bird since the age of five when she fell off the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. She'd never told a soul until one August day when a boy accidentally stumbled upon her shifting. When she's offered a place at Vale, she's amazed to learn she isn't as different as she thought. Lance Taylor is an arrogant boy who's known it was his destiny to go to Vale since he was able to walk. He's anxiously awaited the day of being assigned a team and quest. He can't wait for when he's chosen to lead his team through their quests... until he finds out he won't be. The team has a bumpy road ahead and if they can't learn to work together, they could very well fail the quest but much more is at stake than that. A mysterious voice has been edging their way into some shifters' minds and no one can figure out who it is or what they want.

Yet again Darkness is hungry for a war to end it all, but Light will always have troops at the ready. One girl. One kingdom. Eleven friends. Four Elements. No biggie. * I'm Melody, hybrid freak, nice to meet you, strange muggle who I know nothing about. I used to be like you, cluelessly ignorant and uninvolved with the outside world. You know, they have a big, yellow ball of gas in the sky. Weird. Anyway my life became something out of a bad Si-Fi movie, and no, Nicolas Cage isn't in it (sadly). There are two forces in the world, Light and Darkness, and when you side with Light, Darkness gets a stick up its ass and wants you to suffer. My friends and I, we roll with Light, you must know where that leads.... I have a kingdom to learn, powers to master, loud friends to keep in line, a boy that I'm messed up over, and above it all, Darkness to show whose boss. Not as easy as you might think, but this is MY story, and I know how it ends. Being a loyal follower of Light shows me the beauty in life and the devastation it can cause. Don't get me wrong, I love Light, but Darkness makes it hard to stay and fight. * Melody is weird. She's childish. She's awkward. And she's got boy issues she needs to work out. Mel will face evil like no other, but can she do it? Will the scales of Light and Darkness finally be tipped? How can one girl make a difference? This is Melody, a corky teenager, and she wants you to read her story. Like now. Enjoy! Highest rank- #69 in Fantasy (Still cant believe it!!)

. : Book One : . Melody is a member of one of the five tribes of animal shapeshifters who live beyond the human domain. These people have the ability to shapeshift into particular animals when they come of age in their tribe, attending something called the Ceremony. When given the chance to escape from her family, she jumps for it, spiraling into a world of mystery, danger, and unexpected surprises. But unknown to her, the spirits of the underworld have broken loose, and are tracking her every step. Why they want her, she has yet to know. But she will soon. Friends become enemies and families are reunited only to be broken apart. Whether she survives will be up to her companions as they race to right a world that has fallen drastically out of balance. * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * A haze darkened the edges of my vision and my knees buckled. This was too much, way too much. In half a day, my life had been turned upside down. Just as I was about to fall, the raven transformed into a boy and caught me. The bird had just turned into a boy. What the heck? What was an Avian doing on Lupine territory? * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * After much debate, I decided to discontinue this second book and series. I love the world and I built and the characters with all my heart but the writing is incredibly outdated and the plot progression is all over the place. I may reuse these characters in the future, but this series has come to an end. I'm sorry to the people who wished to see the story continue, but I hope you'll be able to join me on future fantastical journies once I have time to write more! * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * First Published: Dec. 20, 2018 Finished: Mar. 31, 2020 Finished Publishing: 5-23-2020
