In the dead of night, the wolf speaks to me. It's howls sing a song of danger unknown to man, and i chase it's lullaby. Hoping to reach before the dream ends and i awake.

Arden wakes up in a unknown forest with no memory and no recollection of what happened to them. Every time she tries to remember she's met with a killer headache. She finds herself in a small broken down town with some strange rumors circling around about dangers in the forest at night, what will she do when she meets this danger? And how will she get her memories back? Short story. I'm not the best at writing either (i prefer to draw/paint) so read at your own risk!

Where am I? I wake up with no memory of the night before or how I got to this place. I don't even know what place this is. I hear the howl of a wolf and stagger to the window. What the hell? This isn't the city, just where the hell am I? The darkness closes in and I welcome the dark oblivion. Perhaps this is just a nightmare? Then I laugh to myself, I'd prefer the nightmare to my life. Perhaps this time I won't wake up?

In the Warrens, Eden's world unravels after her father's suicide, leaving her mother bitter and lost in alcoholism. Blamed for the tragedy, Eden faces emotional neglect. After a troubling incident at a party, she runs into the woods, where a glowing creature leads her to a mysterious mansion. Little does she know, this encounter will change her life forever.

The earth crunched beneath my feet, the harsh, cold wind biting my face as I ran through the dense forest. It was closing in on me. I could sense it. Its warm breath against the back of my neck, its footsteps thundering through the trees, its feral snarls and snapping jaws. But it was just a dream. A night terror that has haunted me for the past few months. Or was it... A mysterious howl echoes through the woods. A beast, calling her closer. Why her? Why would it want her?

Every night I hear their howls, the howls of my pack drifting through the wind, finding its way through the dense forest, through the animals scurrying along the forest bed and straight to my ears. I could sit for hours just listening to them communicate with each other, its my favorite kind of music because it reminds me of my family, it reminds me of home. One day I will be sitting out on that hill tilting my head back towards the moon and joining the chorus of howls that echo throughout the night...it's my destiny ... Or at least that's what I thought.
