❝ far away, long ago, glowing dim as an ember ❞

Working at the palace was never dull, at least not for a young stable-hand named Faith. She had a wonderful family and friends in her horses. Nothing is ever as simple as it appears, though, and she soon finds herself pulled into the world of royalty and drama, a drastic change from her humble existence. Things, she soon finds, are far more menacing than they outwardly appeared.

Brenna lives in the lap of luxury, everything that she could ever want available at the snap of her fingers. Yet she always felt as though something was wrong, something was missing. When she meets a servant named Nicholas and begins to further question her past, she opens a door into a world of that she never knew existed.

Treated like a slave, Devon cannot remember knowing true happiness. Fear became her only friend, loneliness her reprieve. However, an unexpected event takes her life for a major turn -- whether it was for the better or the worst, she had yet to decide. With an adventure around every corner and danger threatening her existence, she struggles to find the answers she seeks while simultaneously staying alive.

Legends tell of fearsome beasts, dashing rouges, and hordes of gold. Stories that capture the imagination, of all who dare to read them. This one is no exception, but far more than what meets the eye. For deep within the streets and canals of the great trading city of Talvos. A prophecy will come to life, and change the fates of two young denizens of this fair city forever. While the nobles hide behind their walls and houses, while the merchants count their gold, and while the gangs of the city take refuge in their taverns, brothels, and boxing dens. All unaware of the chaos that shall ensue, in only a mere three days time. Their lives will lay on the shoulders of these two unlikely allies. Tara, a thief known for her cunning, grand escapes, and her reputation as a first rate mage. She has only one goal on her mind, survive the perils of the streets and keep from being tossed into a cell. Then there is Andreas, noble, sharp, a perfect weapon of the king as the tyrant's skilled assassin. A path he chose, to keep at bay the gilded cage that waits for him. Challenges that they will face, along with a pirate queen hunting for a nameless treasure, and a ghostly rouge stealing from the kingdom's elite. Look no further for a story where legends lurk in the shadows, and doors that lead to secrets untold. Where gods walk the earth while monsters haunt the seas. ~ COMPLETE AND NOW AVAILABLE ON AMAZON ~ In the Five Kingdoms of Saol Eile, magic is the only currency and those who have the most cast long shadows across the land. Amidst lavish parties, sumptuous banquets, and sprawling castles, despicable tyrants have risen, calling themselves kings by right; emperors, by the laws of old magic, and monarchs, by the wealth they've procured. When it's rumored that an army of flesh-eating monsters has risen from the shadows, tyrant-kings are forced to submit to a far more dangerous power - the sorcerer standing at the head of it all: The Cursed One. Orphaned and penniless, eighteen-year-old Cecily Trask's magic has always been reluctant to emerge. But with the kingdoms at the brink of war, she vows to do whatever it takes to keep her people safe-even if it means breaking all the rules, reaching into the depths of her soul to unravel the bindings around her true power, and allying with the potentially dangerous prince, Daire Niadh, to do it. In a landscape thick with mistrust, desire, and incipient hope, Cecily and Daire cross paths in an unfamiliar world forever changed by violent forces neither of them understand. They should hate each other. They should want each other dead. But their grief both draws them together and breaks them down, until all they have left is their shared goal - to defeat The Cursed One, even though for Cecily, the journey means almost certain death. ❧ Copyright © Marcella Colavecchio, 2014 - 2020.

Marmalade's Love Potion

56 parts Complete

In the final days of autumn, a young princess climbs her favourite tree clutching a folded star of paper to her aching heart. Contained within its crisp lines are recountings of her dreams and darings... and a plea that she might, at last, be welcomed home. With a kiss for luck, she tosses her star to the southbound winds, and stumbles her way to a crumbling cottage in the deep woods. Years pass and the constellations spin, her pleas have gone unanswered. The princess grows, and her uncertainties are buried beneath the gentle earth of spurned hopes. It is now, when she has almost forgotten how to wish on morning stars, that an invitation of smoke and dream light arrives, carried on horseback by soldiers of a different kingdom; the Dark Moon Ball might prove her salvation. She does not yet know that love is an exquisite, wretched thing and that wishes are fickle as wisp light. She does not yet know that paths of magic have their own sense of poetry, and walking them presses footprints into the deepest sands of self, remaining even as the stars and seasons turn. She does not yet know that home is where you keep your north star.
