In a post-dystopian world ravaged by war, Claire and her younger brother Charlie live in one of the last remaining Northern American cities: Horizon, a place where the past is stifled and pills are used to control mental and physical defects.

When a small rebellion deemed these pills and the government as a whole overly controlling, they staged an uprising and gained control, none of them possessing any knowledge on how to run a city. The result is anarchy, starvation, and death. Claire and Charlie live with their friend, Nik, in a small, teenage-populated community aptly named Rooftop for its location, and every day is a fight for survival. When Claire learns of an illegal lottery through which she and her brother could escape Horizon, however, she leaps at the chance and begins risking everything she has built for herself and her family to get to freedom.

30 parts Complete

Nobody expects something supernatural to happen to them. Those kind of things only happened in comics. Fairy Tales. Unrealistic dreams that you'd fall asleep to, silently wishing for them to come true. At least, that was what these three teenagers thought. It turns out that there is so much more to their simple universe than they ever could have imagined. After each finding a strange alien artifact, the teens are suddenly thrusted into an intergalactic war. Alien species everywhere are trying to hunt down the most powerful weapons in the galaxy. And they are the ones in possession of it. When they run into a girl that claims to be from another planet, the three kids learn about the power given to them and the responsibilities that come along with it. Instantly, they are the most popular people in the galaxy. And for once, popularity couldn't feel more like a curse. Fighting grudges, fear, and distrust, the Chosen humans must travel to the one place on Earth where they might be safe. And with strange new powers, the teenagers struggle to live in the unfamiliar world they thought they knew so well.
