16 year old girl- Avery Hart- began her story amongst the Village towns people of the most gruesome, ruthless King- Lord White Hill. With the annual Picking at mist -the traditional celebration of the kingdom's rulers coming together to pick a beautiful woman from the village to serve them- being said the same day is also Averys birthday, to that she has come of age caple to attend the Picking. 

  With the failed attempt to flea,  her two best friends find themselves captive by the royal family and Avery finds herself being chosen by the second hand ruler- Prince Whitehill -known for his ability to swoon women and his unability to hold liquor. with her new profound life being casted to her, will she unravel the truth behind this masquared of a family? Or will she fall into ruins like the rest of them?
