The Lights is a band of creatures responsible for saving people from accidents when it is not their time to die yet. The Nights on the other hand, are the ones causing such accidents. Being naturally mischievous and hateful of the human race, they find it a hobby to constantly give the Lights work to do.

Humans cannot see them, cannot touch them, while the Lights and the Nights can only touch inanimate objects to save or kill humans. That universal law has been existent for millenniums, until here comes Leigh Ann Flockhart, an average high school student who mysteriously defies the only universal law existing.
