5 years. It has been 5 years since Chicago's Intelligence Unit lost their finest cop. She was smart, talented, and loved. Erin Lindsay didn't have much of a choice when leaving Chicago. This was her home, she had the first father figure, she had a stable group of friends, a stable job, but most importantly, she had Jay Halstead, the love of her life. He tried to call her, but she declined all the calls, changed her number, and moved to New York. She got Voight to pull some strings to work with the FBI. There is nothing for him here, and yet- he'll stay, because she's here, because everything in his life begins and ends with her. (Arya/Gendry centric, sequel to "the world keeps turning (it's us that just stands still)," can be read as a stand alone) Everything you recognize belongs to HBO and George R.R. Martin.
