One does not simply return to their life after being held hostage. Xael Evans, non-typical filthy stinkin' rich kid finds herself in such a situation only to be thrown into the walls of an asylum, 'saved' by a face she never expected to see again, and then out through the same. Déjà vu at it's very peak.

One does, also, not simply ignore metaphysical attraction towards a long-lost romantic partner. Especially not when the propulsion is just right, when the long-awaited circumstances scream at you to give in, foreshadowing a dreadful future with the perfection of the scenario.

Fate never has it the way we want it.
