The world is ending due to many wars that has killed off 75% of all humans off the world and those who have left have built communities with the last of the humans and the new commers for outerspace. Some of these communities are allies with the otherworlders, some are not, and some are horrifying concentration camps and institutes for the non-humans and otherworlders.
18 year old Teagan is the last of her kind (spirit mage) ever since her family were shipped off on an escape shuttle that took them to a different planet. Teagan was left behind beecaude she was kidnapped now she is going undercover to the worst rogue prison of them all Morningstar institute for the criminally insane which is a method of disguise. There are actually criminally insane people there but it is a front for the torture and questioning of non-humans and otherworlders. Her single mission is to help the otherworlders and the non-humans out of the institute and off earth.
1978 year old Keelan is one of the Alpha Kings to all of the non-humans and has been in Morningstar institute for seven years and he can sense something is about to change. He was captured seven years ago when he helped most of the non-humans on to a escape shuttle after the camps where set up, but he got captured when he got separate from the others. When Teagan comes into the institute fighting the guards he instantly figures out that she is his mate and what's even better they put her in his room. His new mission is to get his mate and the small group of non-humans and otherworlders out of the institute and Earth before they die at the hands of the warden. Will Keelan an be able to get Teagan to let her walls down and let him in? Will they get out of the institute and Earth or will they die trying?
