▎when first introduced to a student with the surname "lestrange," one is usually expected to run for the hills or curse their names into the dirt. usually, both at the same time, if they were brave enough to do so behind their backs. for fred weasley, however, it was a different case, as he had been awestruck by her the moment she whipped around to face him. of course, the only reason she had bothered to pay him a passing glance was because of that one time he tripped, but who cared?

▎desdemona lestrange did, apparently, because she never seemed to let anyone get close to her, save for her three close friends. fred, however, soon learns that it's nothing personal. instead of that, she was hiding a secret like no other that would up-end the wizarding world should they ever discover it. it didn't help that it had to do with the boy-who-lived, either.
