Billy Chavez wasn't surprised to find a naked man lying on his back in the middle of the orphanage pantry. The world was shifting gears, and anybody who hadn't noticed was living in dweeb city. Ever since the twins, off on one of their weird, late-night pilgrimages into the Sangre de Christo mountains, had found that calf at the trailhead three months ago with its muscles outside of its skin, twisting, twitching, stumbling along like some drunken Hieronymus Bosch nightmare, he'd known the world was on a grand old slide toward the open mouth of the Cheshire Cat.

She was found on the side of the road near the woods, half naked, bleeding, and mute. She can't seem to remember anything about her past, but even if she did, she doesn't have the means to explain herself. With these sudden turn of events, Faith suddenly has a choice to make. Put some amount of trust in the men who found her, or risk dying out in the woods. (updated slightly to make sense & sound better)
