The Lacking

Living in a pack full of lycans who want to overthrow you, a right hand man who wants to kill you and being surrounded by strays who would rather eat you, things aren't looking up for teenage wolf, Chayse. With her uncle dying, the alpha position is open and as the only half sane person living in the Outs, a rejected part of the mainland pack with less food than a portable mini fridge, she feels obliged to take the risky position and keep the pack from destroying itself. But having to keep everyone from killing each other, including her, is not as easy as it sounds and with attacks becoming more frequent and pressure from the mainland rising, everybody' on edge.

After being pulled into a sudden meeting with the higher ups, rich snobbish people with 'real' status, she gets stuck with a selfish, irrational mate. Balancing her ever crazed, ever starving pack and an annoying mate who has had everything served to him on a silver platter, is harder than it looks. But can she convince the jerk to finally see some sense and start being a real leader? Can she find out what has the strays all wound up before it's too late? Can she keep her misfit pack from a crash and burn future that's bound to happen?

Can she really stop the war?
