Two 16-year olds, Kathrine Kira and Astrid Astraea, seem to get transported to a game-like world after 'dying' in a car crash. All they are left with are vague, vivid memories of a car crash, each other as well as wild, insane, impossible-sounding theories. They meet each other by coincidence and help each other through a world of monsters, magic, sword, immortality (at the cost of memories) and other things that once, ceased to exist. At first, they question almost nothing, living life to the fullest- getting jobs, playing games and performing spells until that one nightmare of a day when Kathrine and Astrid almost died to a a mysterious stranger and first read the "Grimoire of A Hundred Souls". That day marks the last day they were even slightly sane.
