In an alternate timeline parallel to the original Narutoverse, Minato and Kushina survive Kyuubi's attack and have twin sons instead of just Naruto.
But the family of four is plunged into chaos that same night when (the real) Madara takes their first-born hostage in order to manipulate Minato.
But unbeknownst to Madara, the boy he had kidnapped had a much more sinister side to him, for within his body lurked the reborn soul of the Uchiha clan's ancestor, Indra Otsutsuki, and his lust for power and freedom only grew as his host aged.
Raised by the vengeful Ghost of the Uchiha, Kazan judges all Shinobi Villages for following a faulty Shinobi System, which Madara and Indra both blame for the deteriorating state of the world. But what will he do about this problem and how does Madara intend to use him in his plan to cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi? Moreover, what are Indra's intentions with him?
This first book of the series follows a young Kazan throughout the first decade of his life.
