For the longest time, Shayara Asu relied on her brother for support. Her brother, Aran was her best friend, but when he picked up his father's sword and joined the armies in Prakk, she lost that. It took Aran years to realize that the army wasn't his place, but when he finally did, he fled to the isle of Valencia, where Elvish council wouldn't find him. When Shayara heard the news, she left immediately... but no-one knew the powers in Valencia were about to be shifted. Or how much blood a single throne could cost.

Struggling with her missing past, and with trying to cope with abilities she is still discovering is not how she imagined meeting the elven prince again.
