Octavia Ravens is a normal person who lives with a normal family and has normal friends, but the woods is anything but normal. When Octavia's village is burned down by an unknown individual she turns to the only other place she can call home or though she thought. The woods are not only home to her but to others as well and with a strange man named Fredrick winkle who keeps showing up all over the place. Octavia finds that her life has turned from normal to chaos. With the empire in panic out of everyone she may be the only one who can ever be a true fighter.
