Something Like Spring
The fall had been a big mood ring for Oskar. Breaking the school rules he gets almost expelled from school, but it brings him and Aaron together for the first time in 2 years. Oskar kisses 2 times Aaron, but he doesn't seem to reciprocate his feelings, especially that he's hetero and has a girlfriend. Oskar finds new friends and gets popular for the first time, and everybody starts noticing him, which was one of the biggest dreams for Oskar. However, his new friends turned to be fake, allowing Oskar to get beaten to death. Even though Aaron previously seemed to not care for Oskar, he was the only one who visited Oskar in the hospital every day. After spending the whole winter in hospital, Aaron finally comes out of the hospital and rejoins his friends in school. All eyes in school will be once again turned on a 15-years old boy. Is he ready to confront his fake friends who let him be beaten in a conspiracy. Will he graduate the junior high school having so many setbacks on his head? Will he forgive Aaron eventually? I just wrote all of this and then I accidentally deleted it as well as the book cover. I'm somewhat infuriated atm. The book was written as I fell in love for the first time, while in the Swedish equivalent of High School so it should be one hell of a ride ;) It may need some updating and I'll get to that some day, but it's perfectly readable in the meantime. A lot of my friends have approved the book as well. It is dedicated to my former best friend Adam, whom also was my biggest fan I think. Anywhoo, the book is about a boy named Ethan Bennett, his best friends Matt and Diana, his half-brother Josh and their friend Sophie. Later you'll also be introduced to Isabelle May. It's a feel good story about a loving high school friend group. I think that's all I'm going to say... Happy reading :) Oh and also, my characters aren't going through anything extremely traumatic, but just like most teens nowadays they all have their struggles with life and mental health and so on.
