I scoff and looked at him dead in the eye, "well then, Mr Great Depression, you must be a girl then, since you're the weak one in this battle." With that, energy surged from my hands and and laser beams shot out, wrapping itself around Mr Great Depression and throwing him halfway across the room. Dusting my hands, I mumbled to myself, "that should do the trick."

The curtain around the hospital bed slides open to reveal an African American man with warm eyes. He walks in with an easy smile and a white man steps in just behind him with dark blue eyes and near black brown waves that fall to his shoulders. The effects weren't exactly the same obviously but they did the same job of giving the victims unnatural abilities. On my run I started to think more about the accident as tears streamed down my face and my feet started to feel like they were on fire since my body wanted to just give out and sulk. My mother chose to leave me, my father tried to leave me. What is it about me that repels people?
