This is literal age regression. Like Mikey literally turns into a five year old.
Frank is worried for Mikey, he's been acting awfully skittish lately. Then when he goes to help, Mikey is gone and in his place a small frightened child who only seems to trust Gerard. Who is this child and how'd he get on their bus?
"Gerard was swaying lightly, rocking the whimpering child and holding him close to his chest, one arm holding him up and the other caressing through his hair and rubbing the back of his neck. He was paying Frank and Ray no mind as he focused on calming the frightened boy, cooing and murmuring sweet things to him, he looked a little sad and much softer than they'd ever seen him before. They watched as he closed his eyes and held him closer, lulling him closer to sleep."

It's not like I asked for this. I didn't ask. I didn't want this. But now there's nothing in this world that I could want more. Him, next to me. Smiling. Us sitting next to each other. Holding hands. Okay, so Gerard wasn't exactly ecstatic about where they had ended up. Sure, it was Frank, his best friend's birthday, it was Halloween, and they even had a day of vacation from touring. But when the four of them, Gerard, Frank, Ray, and Mikey, ended up on the outskirts of some random town in Jersey stood in front of a long since abandoned house with all sorts of bad vibes about it, Gerard wasn't all too keen on exploring it. Gerard is new to the school.. he finally got kicked out of his old one, now being forced to go to school with Mikey, not that's it's a bad thing. unlike what people would thing, Gerard and Mikey get along great..it's just other people that bugs Gerard. he sticks out like a sore thumb, hes soft spoken and has pretty feminine features as well as dressing up in pastel clothes (skirts). he gets into fights a lot and he's not afraid to stick up for himself but it gets tiring so he normally lets his bully's do whatever they need. at his new school he meets Frank. he's known to not let people push him the wrong way and he'll call you out on your bullshit. Frank finds Gerard...uh, interesting. it's hard to tell what Gerard is thinking most times and that really bugs Frank. Gerard tends to be in his own and Frank wants to change that...but how can he? Gerard will forever be known as the "cross dresser" and Frank will always be seen as "too good" for Gerard.
