A young boy named Johnathan Zapburn is taken from his home at night. He wakes up after being taken and finds himself in a prison of some sort. He makes some new friends along the way and discovers things that he didn't know he or his friends could do, but he also makes enemies including a strange man named Aeron Gethen.
