When 17 year old Ash Green is found dead in the basement of his house the family went into hiding. After a few years with no leads and no evidence the case was dropped and no one was convicted. Almost everyone forgot about this incident, all except one, his younger sister. After hearing news that a boy who is living her old house has been seeing and talking to her dead brother, she looked for him and used him as a way to talk with him. But it wasn't enough for her, she wanted to know what really happened to her brother. But in her attempts to get some answers she experiences heartache, pain and she learns you never know who to really trust, even family.

Michael's Ghost Girl
This story is not getting the attention it deserves, so I am attempting to "re-brand" it. Maybe no one "gets" it. If you want to read about "Normal" teenagers, maybe this isn't for you, it's more complicated than that. It's about a teenager who doesn't fit it, but doesn't want to, who has the best two friends that anyone could have. Who watched his father lose his job in the Recession and then loses his home, and how he copes, especially when he learns that their new house is haunted and the ghost is in his room. Michael was an average kid, although he's always stood out. He was a school jock but also a skater whose long blond hair almost reaches his waist. When his parents lived in a house in a home owners association like all his other friends, life seemed normal. Then his father lost his job and suddenly those "friends" weren't there anymore--except for his two best friends, Short Round and Dewey. The three are skaters, good ones, who live for girls and their skateboards. They're also basically good kids who take pride in being different without paying attention to it. When Michael loses his home and his family has to move they have his back. And they are there for him when the ghost girl starts following him around.
