Despite the fact that one of her parents is Quirkless and the other possesses a fairly weak Quirk, Lily Peterson is happy to find herself with a powerful Quirk at age five. She grows up surrounded by friends, and likes to use her abilities to play games and make small figures out of abstract materials for fun. Once she is enrolled in U.A. on a full scholarship, Lily thinks her life can't get any better: and she's right.
It can only get worse.
While on a mission with an experienced Hero as a sidekick, an unfortunate accident causes a misuse of Lily's powers and the death of a civilian. The Villain is detained and put to justice, but the public is critical of Lily's ability to be a Hero. Unable to handle the intense scrutiny, Lily drops out of the Hero Academy and decides to live quietly for the majority of her life.
At least, until a certain Villain comes across Lily in her most vulnerable state, and she is taken under the wing of the League of Villains.
