As the middle kid, I thought I was exempt from their expectations and everything since I could do anything I wanted, act as I pleased, and even disappoint them knowing they didn't care. I'm liberated and happy. I was the family's black sheep, but hearing and knowing that made me even happier. I owe it to my older sister. I don't have to be flawless or satisfy their standards simply to please them. As a result, I am out and proud. I also get to openly love the person I desire. I was really fortunate because she loved me as much as I loved her. I assumed we could make it to the end since no one was meddling with us, but so I thought, there is really someone who is envious of what I have and trying to ruin it. I imagined that everything between us would be flawless. I even planned our future, but I was wrong. I was surprised to hear cruel comments from her own father. "You have no future, and my daughter will suffer as a result of your actions, so stay away from her." Both in pain and love. That is what drives me to become a doctor and achieve more. I want to prove to them that they are simply wrong, that I, too, can be like my older sister.

There are moments in life so small, so ordinary, that you barely notice when everything changes. A glance held a little too long. A laugh that feels different in your chest. A touch that lingers. She became my best friend, my constant. Late-night calls, endless adventures, secrets whispered into the dark. It was always easy with her, natural. Safe. But somewhere between laughter and promises, something shifted. I didn't know it at first-not really. I just knew that when she smiled, it felt like the sun had chosen me. That when she cried, it hurt more than my own heartbreaks. That when she was near, the world made a little more sense. This is the story of how we found each other-not as we were, but as we were meant to be. From friends, to lovers, and somewhere even deeper than that. Because sometimes, the greatest love stories start with a simple truth: it was always you.
