“Why are you being like this?!” Alissa shouted at Aaron who seemed unfazed by her harsh tone. “God! You can just be annoying at times okay?” he spat back. Alissa stumbled back feeling the sting from the venom very visible in his words. The tears were hot on her face as she ran out the front door of the one person in the world’s house who she thought she could trust. This isn’t how their friendship started, but how them and everyone thought it was going to end. After the very eventful day that Alissa’s childhood best friend Aaron became a person who she didn’t know any longer, the two teenagers parted ways. Of coarse they still had to face those awkward meet-ups in the halls at school but could easily cover it up with a couple of glares and a shoulder bump. These two stubborn ex-bestfriends thought they would never have to talk again until one day when they are paired up at soccer practice. Will these to school star athletes make-up or will more feelings blossom from their very much unwanted team-up?

An Unexpected Moment
... that changes everything Sarah was starting her junior year of high school. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw a pretty average blonde haired, blue eyed, teenager. She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote. *past* "Just leave Mary Grace." Teddy says to me with a blank stare, but I could see sadness built around them. "But Teddy, why-" I begin to say as a tear falls down my cheek.
