In the inkopolis square, lived a creatures named inklings, in there also lived some other sea creatures, but mostly some of them were inklings.
Until the day had come, that brought a new creature in there named the octoling. Their known for them stealing the great zapfish. But turns out this octoling didn't do any harm, and so is 'cause of that, the inkling and the octoling were in peace and harmony.
But some people weren't actually expecting both of the kinds to fell in love, especially this particular soulmate

It's not very painful at first, but the flowers get bigger and more frequently coughed up over a span of 2 years. If you haven't found and kissed your soulmate by the time you turn 18, you die of the "disease." The flowers are your soulmate's favourite color(s). Inkopolis has just been saved once again by the Squid Beak Splatoon. Agent 3 feels suspicious about the new agent, agent 8, an Octoling. Being on many missions herself, fighting Octolings like him, she can't help but get the feeling that something about him isn't quite right. Agent 8 feels unsure and unwelcomed to the city as he is forced to hide his identity as not all inklings accept Octolings into their home. Not only that, but he also has a problem with getting along with Agent 3! But what happens if a mysterious, unknown threat comes toward the surface, threatening to destroy both Inkling and Octoling kind alike? Can the agents work together to save their race?
