Ragnar (Ragnarr) Lothbrok či Lodbrok, ktorý bol podľa legendy vikingským kráľom. Tradičné príbehy hovoria, že v deviatom storočí podnikol nájazdy do Francúzska a Anglicka. Nikto však nevie s určitosťou doložiť, či skutočne niekedy žil. Jeho skutky a veľkosť ale odkazujú na niekoľko možných panovníkov, ktorí by mohli stelesňovať tohto Vikinga. Tými boli kráľ Horik, kráľ Reginfird (vládol časti Dánska a mal konflikt s Haraldom Klakom), Reginherus (v 9. storočí obliehal Paríž) alebo Ragnall (či Rognvald známy z ísrkych povestí). Alebo je jednoducho len legendou založenou na príbehoch zmienených kráľov. 
	Tak či onak, Ragnar je zaujímavá historická postava, či už bol skutočný alebo nie a niektorí jeho údajní synovia ako Ivar Bezkostý, Björn Ironside (Silák), Halfdan Ragnarsson, Hvitserk, Sigurd s hadom v oku a Ubba sa zapísali do severských dejín veľkými písmenami.All Rights Reserved
