Austin Reeves lost everything the day a disturbed teenager opened fire on his brother's high school. His brother became one of many casualties and now he's trying to move on from the tragedy.

Leah Ford has been by Austin's side since they were toddlers, and even when he tries to push her away, she's the one steadfast constant in his life. They're both set to leave after the summer is over; he's going to Nashville and she's going to California.

But before she goes, she has something she needs to say to Austin, but the only thing on Austin's mind is finishing an album of songs written by his deceased brother, including one song with nothing written down other than a title; Make You Miss Me.

Together, Austin and Leah work together to write that last song. One song to remember those they lost. One song before they're both gone. One last song from the heart, and before they're finished, they're going to come to understand that there's more than one way to miss someone...
